Ethan Margolis, director of Arte y Pureza Flamenco Co., has toured his company to sold out theaters throughout
Europe and the United States. He directed and played on Miguel Funi's latest CD "Aires Gitanos" and is performing with Ines Bacan,
Concha Vargas, Luis Moneo, Pedro Peña, and Diego de la Margara in Lebrija's famed summer festival "La Caracola" of this year.

TARANTOS

TARANTOS WITH CIHTLI OCAMPO, "LA GALLARDI"
Cihtli will be teaching an intensive Tarantos class. Al least one letra will be covered with a llamada, an escobilla and the change into tangos.
Due to the extremely improvisational nature of Tarantos it is highly recommended that dancers take both classes in order to be able to execute the steps learned in Cihtli's class.

UNDERSTANDING TARANTOS WITH ETHAN MARGOLIS
Ethan will give students a general review of the cante por Tarantos. Then he will teach two letras and explain how the dancing fits into the cante. In this class students will have the opportunity to dance what they have learned in Cihtli's class with Ethan's cante and guitar.
Due to the extremely improvisational nature of Tarantos it is highly recommended that dancers take both classes in order to be able to execute the steps learned in Cihtli's class.

FIESTA CLASS (Bulerias)

BULERIAS FIESTA CLASS
Improvisation, Cante and Compas
This class was created in order to get dancers, singers and guitarists comfortable and eventually spectacular in a typical "fiesta" setting: whether it be onstage or at a private party.
Ethan takes his students through a series of different styles of cante por Bulerias and teaches them the best way to adorn and then "rematar" the cante with their dancing or guitar.
Everyone in this class has the opportunity to dance to Ethan's guitar and cante. He then critiques each person individually giving them invaluable feedback that will transform their dancing.
Guitarists are encouraged to play throughout the class as Ethan teaches them how to best accompany the cante and support the dancing.
This class in invaluable to anyone who is truly interested in understanding the essence of flamenco. Under Ethan's guidance, students will learn how to capture and then transmit the essence of Gypsy-style flamenco.
MUST HAVE 12 PEOPLE ENROLLED AND PAID BY SEPTEMBER 5TH IN ORDER TO MAKE THIS WORKSHOP TO TAKE PLACE.
